So…not to give too much away from the episode (in case you haven’t listened to the episode yet). But I’m guessing it’s probably a common thing for the insurance company to require a “condition and valuation” survey.

Sadly, the valuation of the vessel is much less than what I’ve put into her. (Welcome to sailing.)

But the main thing is, I guess they want to make sure that she’s still afloat…and likely to stay that way!
