Anchored here next to some twenty-million-dollar homes…and I’m guessing the one with the 24-hour security lights is also the one with the barking dog. (Which could make an audio appearance on the podcast.)
Imagine spending that kinda coin and still being next to that.
Light rain continues. Fortunately I’m only an hour from the marina and I assume I can’t check in before 11 at the earliest.
(Hmmm…thunder. And wind. Quite a chilly and fresh breeze ahead of the rain. I’m gonna say 30+ knots. Glad no sail up.)
Wind is around to NW now. Keeping an eye on the anchor drag app.
Sweet! LOL That explains a lot.
Current situation. Did I mention I have to weigh anchor by hand (90′ of chain, plus 35-pound anchor on 9-ton boat, against wind and waves)?
Okay, we have the go-ahead from the marina. Off we go in the rain. Stay tuned.
First front passed, but looks like more coming. Want to take advantage of this window!
Will we fit?!??
Got into slip without assistance. Power cord wasn’t gonna be able to reach. Went to office, checked in, and got Orlando and Raul to attend while I backed out, spun around and backed in stern-to. (This worked much better with lines prepared to toss, unlike Marathon.)
Must. Have. Shower.
The Admiral has arrived! That is all for today.
